The US Supreme Court granted the government’s motion to stay the nationwide preliminary injunction of Executive Order 14183 issued by the District Court for the Western District of Washington pending an appeal to the Ninth Circuit and disposition of a writ of certiorari, if timely sought, allowing the government to enforce the EO banning transgender military service (U.S. v. Shilling, (U.S. May 6, 2025)).
