Administrative and Development Director – part time, work remotely
Workplace Fairness is a non-profit organization working to preserve and promote employee rights. We believe that fair treatment of workers is sound public policy and good business practice, and that free access to comprehensive, unbiased information about workers' rights - without legal jargon - is an essential ingredient in any fair workplace. That's why Workplace Fairness creates and maintains the most comprehensive, online resource for free information about workers' rights.
Our main programs are maintaining and operating our website with more than 400 pages of FAQ-style information about workers’ rights, plus our 0.1.2.3 program offering a range of web services to plaintiff-side employment attorneys. This position is responsible for customer service and content management for our website and for attorney websites that we manage. The position is also responsible for execution of an annual fundraising plan as well as communications (including press releases, social media and e-newsletter). Administrative responsibilities include overseeing payables and receivables, organizing and preparing for board meetings, and budget work.
The candidate must be highly organized, self-starter, work well with a remote team, and be proficient with G-Suite, Word, Excel, and professional use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Must have experience with online organizing platforms, CRM’s or email marketing platforms. Experience with html, web design, and editing preferred. Non-profit management or administration experience is a major plus. A legal background (e.g., lawyer or paralegal) would be an extra plus.
Position is 20 hours per week. Compensation $25-$35 per hour commensurate with experience.
