Workplace Fairness Launches Website Redesign

SILVER SPRING, Md.
(Sept. 15, 2016) – As the nation observed Labor Day last week, Workplace Fairness was putting the finishing touches on a major redesign at www.workplacefairness.org, the web’s leading source for information on legal rights in the workplace. Launching the redesigned website was the culmination of updates to over 400 pages of substantive legal information relating to workplace rights, laws and legislation in the previous 18 months. Individuals with work problems who turn to the internet for answers can easily locate the Workplace Fairness website in leading search engines, with the most recent number of unique users topping 3.75 million annually.

The website’s new user-friendly and responsive design ensure that mobile device users can quickly and easily access the help they need, regardless of the device they use. The Your Workplace Rights and Protecting Your Rights sections are portals to hundreds of pages of content explaining workplace rights, covering the latest legislative and judicial developments that affect working people. Visitors to our website can be confident that they will receive the most comprehensive information affecting their workplace rights in all 50 states.

Whether an individual is a whistleblower, has been victimized by harassment or discrimination, has been injured at work or newly unemployed, they will find legal information applicable to their situation. Those who need to discuss their situation with a lawyer can access the site’s Find An Employment Lawyer feature to locate employment lawyers in their area who represent workers. Those who need guidance with the next step in their careers can get career help through the site’s new collaboration with New York Times’ bestselling author Martin Yate, whose Knock ‘em Dead approach to job search and career management have been a leading career resource for over 20 years.

About Workplace Fairness

Workplace Fairness is a nonprofit organization that provides information, education and assistance to individual workers and their advocates nationwide and promotes public policies that advance employee rights.

Our goals are that workers and their advocates are educated about workplace rights and options for resolving workplace problems and those policymakers, members of the business community and the public at large view the fair treatment of workers as both good business practice and sound public policy.

Workplace Fairness works toward these goals by:

  • Making comprehensive information about workers' rights – free of legal jargon –  readily available to workers and to advocates and organizations that assist workers;
  • Providing resources to support the work of legal services organizations, community-based organizations, law schools and private attorneys that provide free legal information and services to low-income workers;
  • Presenting the employee perspective in publications, policy debates & public discussion.

The award-winning Workplace Fairness website, www.workplacefairness.org, has newly updated information throughout the site, as part of the web's most comprehensive resource educating workers about their legal rights in the workplace.
